25th Anniversary of the Otago Central Rail Trail
Share your favourite Rail Trail memory & be in to win a trip for two worth over $2,500
8th December 2025
To commemorate 25 years since the opening of New Zealand's original Great Ride, the Otago Central Rail Trail Trust is celebrating the stories, the people, the photos, and the magic moments that have made the trail so special.
As part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, the Trust is inviting anybody that has walked, cycled or ridden a horse along the trail to share their memories. By submitting a photo or anecdote from a previous Rail Trail adventure, you'll be entered into a prize draw to win an Otago Central Rail Trail experience for two people, so that you can relive those memories and make a few new ones!
Full details of the amazing prize valued at $2,500 and how to submit your photos or stories are available on the Rail Trail website here.
